Goodness only knows what the rate was this morning when I broke my fast. Sometime around 2015, it is believed that knowledge began to double every 12 months. In 1945, at the end of WWII, it is now estimated that knowledge was doubling every 25 years. The inventor and visionary Richard Buckminster Fuller originated the concept of the “Knowledge Doubling Curve,” as part of which he observed that – prior to 1900 – human knowledge doubled every century. We often hear claims that the total sum of human knowledge is doubling every ‘X’ years, where the value of ‘X’ depends on who you are talking to.
